Right after i decided to write a post (which was just a few moments before this sentence) about the miracle that just happened today, i figured i need to start my story at around 3 weeks ago, and even before that give a quick introduction about the whole ordeal I'm in. Right. So, okay, first of all, I'm taking up 2 masteral subjects this summer, one is SciLab, Root, and Holography, and the other is Classical Electrodynamics (Jackson!). Now, a few months ago, our Jackson teacher (I wouldn't betray the anonymosity for obvious reasons) evaluated the final problem sets we gave him, and was clear-cut about the general evaluation; that I was the only one who barely passed his class (51%) and that our solutions just sucked. Giving us a second chance, he didn't proceed into giving the rest of my classmates a failing grade of 5.0 and me a 3.0. Instead, he gave us an INC for completion this summer. That means more problem sets and basically more sleepless nights.
This summer's worse cliche was exactly around (exactly around!) 3 weeks ago, when our Jackson teacher repeated history, and that's what history does best, except that this time, I was one of the 3 who failed, and the rest barely passed. To add insult to injury, the summer classes we're in were exceptionally hectic and demanding, unlike any other summer class we've ever been in. We're beat, and biting off more than we can chew! To add more insult to injury, the results farted out an air of skepticism still floating around right now, and it's saying 'how on earth did you (Jackson teacher) check our papers!' For reasons which I wouldn't disclose here, not now anyway, we have no idea how some groups made it (barely passed) and the others failed.
Bottom line is, we feel that academic justice has failed us once again, on the hands of the same teacher. It's just a feeling, though, and it's getting on our nerves that we had to recognize the fact that we have no choice at all, except do whatever he tells us, and get our wires crossed about the whole Big Brother situation. to be continued..
